206's Christmas gathering @ Larissa's house was a total success! :D

Lots of fun, laughter and foooooood! Yay, my kinda party!

Really. It'd have been the purrrrrrrr-fect Christmas for me if it weren't for the exhausting and frustrating journey there.

WHICH, started like this:

Okay, since I volunteered to do so, I had to lug the entire bag of mahjong tiles out of my house, which were pretty heavy. And damn the ground, which was wet from the rain, 'cos I slipped and fell down the stairs, breaking several tiles into countless pieces.

And I have no idea how I'm going to break the news to my father without him wanting to break me after I have done so.

After I had gone to replace the normal tiles with the smaller ones I have, I set off to NTUC to get the disposable utensils, which amounted to a total of $17.70 O_o Well, I only had $20 with me so the remaining cash I had wasn't enough for me to top up my EZ-link card.

Desperate because I was already running late, I decided to pay the bus fare with coins.

The bus took ages to arrive, and when it did, I was almost prevented access to it because the bus driver insisted the amount I paid was inadequate.

Okayyyyyy. Well, for the record, I paid 70 cents, and that's 15 cents more than what I SHOULD be paying. But the bus driver said there's no longer a 70-cent fare, and that the least I need to pay is

90 cents.

Right. Now, I admit I don't read the newspapers everyday, so okay, I might have missed out on news regarding an increase in the bus fares.

But I'm not stupid y'know - a friggin' 30 cent increase is waaaaaaay out of line!

What could I do though? He's the driver so he has the upper hand and he could stop me from getting on.

So I paid.

50 cents more, because I didn't have any spare coins with me.

SO IN TOTAL I PAID $1.20 !

I feel so cheated.

And then. I didn't know where to alight, and I ended up alighting one stop too early.

So, holding onto all the utensils that I bought and my bag, I braved the rain with no umbrella, and walked to the next bus stop and OVERSHOT the overhead bridge!!

After five minutes of swearing, I found the entrance to the overhead bridge, which was pretty well-tucked beyond the walkway, got up the stairs (which nearly zapped all the remaining energy I had left), walked to the next bus stop, then was told everyone had gone in and there was no one waiting for me!

And you told me there'd be a whole group of people protecting me la, QW!

THANK GODNESS FOR WEN JIAO, who arrived after I did and who so happened to be in hong zi (allowing me to recognise her instantly), I got to Larrie's Function Hall safe and sound, albeit kinda zonked out and frustrated.

Yayyyyyyy :D

And as I've mentioned, the party was greaaaaaaat! Haha, being able to see all of them after so long in itself was awesome :)

I had lots of fries, fish fingers and nuggets :) And Liang Hui made us play this game whose forfeit was to eat raw onions! I got to play Twister for the first time too!

I got Sandy's Tigger mug from Gift Exchange - thank you! - and Qian Wen, the organizer, got the first prize from lucky draw, hahahahaha xD

I wanna have another party! xD

This is unbelieveable.

I've been sitting in front of my computer for half an hour now, but all I've managed to successfully complete on my computer is to open up this Notepad, which I am using as a substitute for Blogger 'cos the internet is not working.

I can't even sign in onto MSN and my tagboard's not appearing - rawrrrrr!

I really wonder what my father is paying $50 a month for. To have his daughters go berserk because despite restarting the computer three times, and disabling then enabling the modem connection five times, they still can't get their webpages to load?

Gees.

So okay 6/1 class gathering today! :)

And there was a bigger turnout of girls this year - 7 girls, 6 boys.

Got to check out Mrs Goh's house for the first time :D It was huge and really pretty, which made the long and perilous journey there really worth it.

Her living room had a real Chinese theme to it, with wooden furniture and matching cushions, probably designated by her in-laws, who stayed with her husband and herself. The bedrooms were of a different, more Western-ish style. Coated with pastel colours, they exude a sense of familiarity and warmth and we were told the cupboards were custom-made. She lived on the 15th level, so naturally, the view from her really narrow balcony was downright stunning. She'd even be able to see the fireworks during National Day in the comfort of her own house 'cos the National Stadium's just a few blocks away. And did I mention she has 4 toilets and a walk-in wardrobe with sensor lightings?

I didn't dare to whip out my camera to snap any photos, 'cos I was afraid it'd seem too bold and impolite. So, just let your imagination runnnnnnnnnn, people! :)

After the tour around her house, it was off to the Function Room for their lunch, and my brunch. We had pizzas, KFC, kuehs, fish balls, fruits, chips, coke, juices and it was funny how Remus made everyone pick up a piece of apple by passing it around xD Pamela had a hard time finishing up the ang ku kueh that we were all forced to eat, and it was hilarious xD

And Mrs Goh was being irritating! 4 photos with the same people at the same place, but from different angles, lmao xD

It's been rather long since I last held a badminton racket, so sweating it out on the (sad to say) only badminton court with the girls after lunch was nice :) The guys took up the court most of the time, and Remus kept trying to get the girls to play mixed doubles with them but we promptly declined because have you seen them play?

I can hardly keep my eyes on the shuttle because they were hitting so fast. And so hard.

And none of us wanted to die young.

At 'round 4, we were kinda chased out of the function hall because it was booked for another function after ours. So we went up to Mrs Goh's apartment for the second time. Many left after that, but I managed to persuade Wei Ling and Pamela to stay back with me, with the assurance that my father'd give them a ride home - I didn't want to be the only girl left! :
Played Murderer with the remaining guys, and it ended pathetically so we ended up watching TV and snacking for the rest of the time :)

And it ended when my dad came to fetch us home...

So there, another party ended and there's only one more to go!

206's Christmas gathering @ Larissa's house! :D

I have this feeling it's going to be gooooooood! Can't wait xD

AHEM.
Err, before I end this post, I just wanna say that I believe Santa exists :P

'Cos my wish came true last night. Well, sorta.

I wished to have Daniel Radcliffe, but Santa clearly thought it impossible so I think he settled with just letting me see him :)

Okay, I didn't exactly see him; I dreamt of him - *blushes*

Sooooooooooo - THANK YOU SANTA! xD

And Happy Boxing Day everybody!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I made this icon quite a while ago, and I think today's the right day to post it :) Comments, anyone? It's my first try, so it might look kinda shabby.

Inspiration's from colormered-cons.livejournal.com :)

Had a really simple celebration yesterday at my 2nd Aunt's house. Everyone in the family was there, apart from my youngest aunt, who couldn't make it. Had a scumptous dinner, watched a few flicks (I can't believe how stupidly War of the Worlds ended -.-), played with bomb bags and the like!

And then it was back to our homes at 1030 :) (I told you it was simple celebration!)

The adults eating - the kids have been banished into the kitchen because there weren't enough seats xD

The kids playing bomb bags haha. And er, the umbrellas... Don't ask me why they are there.

Christmas has been really satisfying for me this year. Being one of the older children in my family, I didn't expect to receive any gifts this year, but I did, and it feels really great :D

All of the presents are equally lovely, but Hsiang Wei's definitely the most touching of all :) Jerlyn's especially cute and thoughtful :D

And here's a special shout out to Aunty Lily, if you're reading: Thanks a lot for the top! Hope it didn't cause you any trouble :)

And thanks to all who sent their wishes!

I'm due to be at my 3rd Aunt's house later at lunchtime and we'll be playing mahjong! Haha, I totally can't wait xD

Have a wonderful Christmas, y'all!
